Chisinau, July 12 (New Region, Elena Furtseva) - The Parliament of the Republic of Moldova a few minutes ago finished voting on the bill of condemnation "of the totalitarian communist regime" and to ban communist symbols.

As the correspondent of the "New Region", 53 deputies from the ruling alliance "for European integration", plus an independent deputy, Mihai Godea supported legislative initiatives proposed by the Liberal Party. At the same time, the opposition Communist Party, the Party of Socialists and "Mishin's group" consisting of three members voted "against."

It is expected that the law will come into force on October 1, 2012.

Meanwhile, the Communist leader, former President of Moldova Vladimir Voronin has said that the Communist Party to challenge the decision of Parliament in the Constitutional Court.
