At an extraordinary meeting on 30 July the deputies considered four draft resolutions on the abolition of Parliament decision on the adoption of the law "On the principles of the state language policy." None of the documents are not received the required number of votes.
The draft deputy faction "Our Ukraine - People's Self-Defense" Yuriy Karmazin 46 deputies voted for the project members from the "BYT-Motherland" Yuri Odarchenko, and Stepan Kurpil - 37 MPs, the MP for the project from the OU-PSD Arseniy Yatseniuk - 38 members and for Project member "BYT-Motherland" Sergei Szasz - 42 deputies.
As reported, the Council adopted the July 3, initiated by the Party of Regions Law "On the principles of the state language policy", which strengthens the position of the Russian and other languages of national minorities in regions where their numbers are 10% and above.
