Net profit
of Italian Eni Spa, one of the world's largest energy
companies in the first
half of 2012 rose by 1.1% over the same period last year
and amounted to 3.84 billion euros, the company said.
Net profit Eni for the second quarter of this year decreased by 81.9% compared with the second quarter of 2011 - up to 227 million euros.
Adjusted operating profit for the first six months of the year rose 18.8% to 10.371 billion euros left.
Capital investments in the second quarter of this year totaled 3.02 billion euros in the first half - 5.65 billion euros.
The volume of hydrocarbons in the first half totaled 1.66 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, which is 4.7% higher than the same period last year.
Eni operates in 70 countries. The company employs 73,000 employees.
