An earthquake measuring 5.3 occurred in the Altai Republic on Tuesday, reports the Geophysical Survey SB RAS.
According to geophysicists, seismic events given the energy class 13.6. The coordinates of the earthquake: 50.60 degrees north latitude and 87.45 east longitude.
Seismic events in the south-western Siberia is registered as European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC). According to the report, the focus of the earthquake was located at a depth of 10 km and the epicenter - 178 km south-east of the Gorno-Altai, 42 km west of the village of Ust-Ulagan, 261 km south-east of Biisk.
