Second reading of the bill came a list of fines for spreading false information. Thus, for the dissemination of false information discrediting honor and dignity of the person or damaging his reputation, put a fine up to 500,000 rubles, for libel in an official position - up to 2 million rubles. Libel contained in a public speech, publicly demonstrated the product or media, will be punished by a fine of up to 1 million rubles.
There was also a new amendment - the defamation of the participants in the proceedings. Thus, for the false accusation of the judge, prosecutor, investigator and other participants in the proceedings of a grave or especially grave crime, will have to pay up to 5 million rubles, or work out in the community service of up to 480 hours. Another innovation is the punishment for the dissemination of false information that a person is "suffering from the disease, representing a danger to others." For this offender may receive three million rubles fine, penalty wages for three years or 400 hours of community service.
